So... I have been totally MIA from both my blog and Twitter. Such a good start. Sorry guys, I was off to... other places (*whispers* Odírna *whispers*). Anyway, I'm back now, so it's time for the Truthwitch read-along hosted by the fabulous Waterwitch Babes!
If you still want to join, it's not too late! You can find the whole schedule here.
Week 1 discussion questions
Safi and Iseult are fantastic fighters. Have you ever wanted to learn how to fight, take self-defense classes or have you already? Tell us about your reasoning/experience!
I don't have a lot of experience with physical combat (save for that time I punched a classmate in the face... trust me, it HURTS), and I think it would be nice to be able to defend myself. So... maybe I should?
Of these specialized witcheries revealed so far (truthwitch, threadwitch, bloodwitch, wordwitch, windwitch, voicewitch) which power would you like to have and why?
I wouldn't want anything that gives me information about other people. Trust me, what with my empathic ability, I struggle enough as it is. But flying would be cool... so I wouldn't say no to being a Windwitch.
The beginning of the book already features political intrique, Safi and Iseult trying to get away and the mystery of cleaving. Which plot point interests you the most so far, and why?
Iseult and her clan! Cleaving! The mysteries of the wells! Aaaaah!

"If, no....when Safi found that Chiseled Cheater, she was going to break every bone in his perfect rutting face."
I can't help it -- this is where I fell for Safi. All that frustration in one, perfect sentence.
Character Spotlight: Safiya | Talk about what you like or dislike about Safi. Do you identify with her in any way? What do you think about her actions so far?
I love Safi! She's hot-headed and impulsive, but ever so fierce when it comes to protecting her best friend, Iseult. I think we're similar in that last part -- I'd do anything for Tisha. As for her actions... a little selfish, but hey, no one is perfect. She tries. Give the girl a break.
